I have true joint custody of my two wonderful kids. They live with me one week and with my ex one week. Yet I am 100% responsible for their financial support. Obviously, when they are with me I have all the expense of their maintenance. But additionally, I pay for their health insurance, their dental care and any and all other significant expenditures above and beyond normal daily expensees.

And I still have to send her a monthly child support check to cover their care and maintenance during the two weeks out of a month they are with her. And incredibly while she is a perfectly healthy and educated woman she has been permitted to get away with not holding a job for nearly the entire eight years that we have been divorced while I have had to pay her child support.

In the end I write the child support off as the cost of being male and place the real value in the fact that through my tenacity and willingness to fight for my kids and the wisdom of one unique and honorable judge, I have true shared custody of my children. And that is worth all the money in the world- to them and to me. Nevertheless, it doesn't change the fact that my ex-wife lives a privileged life because of a system that treats her as special because she is female.

I write mostly out of compassion and pain for the millions of men who are not only turned into indentured slaves to their ex wives by this outrageously destructive and anti-male family law system but are more importantly denied the fundamental right of every human being to love and nuture their offspring.

Liberal Democrats you are hopelessly anti-male and can go to hell. Republicans you better wake up.
