The current system of Child Support and Custody is completely unfair. Unfair mostly to the innocent victims, the children. My story is a common one, and not one of the worst on the wall, but nontheless another page in the history of child support.

I am a loving, caring, involved father of a 9 year old beautiful, healthy girl. I pay, and pay, and pay. I started out on this journey, just out of Bankruptcy, with an arrearage. I pay more than some of my friends, co-workers, and high level executives with 4 kids. But that's okay. My ex needed a new house, and a new Mini-Van, and clothes for her new kids with her new husband.

I am just the weekend dad. I can't be more. If I get involved in the school, they move. For 8 years I have been trying to get some reform on my case, everytime I get a little money saved, FOC screws up and takes it away. I haven't seen a tax refund in 8 years either. They destroyed my credit, my credibility, and my will to be a man.

It's very funny how a system can take your money away, and then lose it several times. My ex doesn't even receive it half of the time. My employer has copies of cancelled checks, that have never been credited to me. But life goes on, another 9 years to go, living in a cash based society.

I always look forward to every other Friday, all the pain goes away when I get to see my daughter.
