Children from my heart You can take me to court and beat me to the ground. Hide my children where they can't be found. You can drain all my tears, But you can't take the love for my children out of my heart. You can take fifty percent of my weekly pay. Leave me to live in the street each and every day. You can hurt my wallet, But you can't take the love for my children out of my heart. You can take my unemployment and Workers Compensation. I can't believe what they do to divorced Fathers in our great Nation. You can hurt my pride, But you can't take the love for my children out of my heart. You can take away my rights to drive to work, boy that's funny. If I can't drive to work, how am I going to pay all this money? You can take my ride, But you can't take the love for my children out of my heart. You think financial support is most important, But you missed the point. When the custody decision is made, it should be joint. You can take away my rights to visitation, But you can't take the love for my children out of my heart. You can take my God given right to raise my children right. To teach them morals and values, pray together and tuck them in at night. You can take away my God given rights, But you can't take the love for my children out of my heart. The sad part is the children get the short end of the stick. To make the world better for them I'll never quit. I hope the Lord will forgive you for this major mistake. Change the laws for our children's sake.
