I have three children that I have been paying support for for almost 15 years. When each of my two oldest were to be emancipated after high school graduation it was delayed by my ex spouse for almost two years each time. This meant the old court ordered amount was in effect. So even though I was paying support at the new amount the CSEA had calculated I was according to the CSEA thousands of dollars in arrears and had tax returns confiscated and many nasty letters received. I also had to struggle with trying to pay for part of my two childrens college education at the same time. In addition I have thousand of dollars of overpaid support held in impound for 1 1/2 years due to delay tactics by my ex until support was finally resolved.
