I am a mother of two beautiful children. One boy one girl. I survived years of mental abuse, physical abuse and parental alienation, from my children's father.

I tried to get justice when he strangled me almost to death on top of my own son, and later when my children were neglected, yet the police and the department of human services failed to help me.

After I became wise enough to get away, and before all the child neglect, I had 50/50 custody.

Later after trying to escape being chased into my car and after their father tried to smash in my back windsheild, their father told the police I tried to run him over. After being given a government paid attorney I was told I could not plead self defense, even though I did not hit him with my car, did not try to run him, over was trying to escape his attack and I had several police records of his violence against me and others including a police officer, the judge refused to allow any evidence against him saying it was discriminatory against him.

The judge failed to award me my children right after the judge said outloud in court that he was severely neglectful. It didn't end there. Now their father lives in another county , he moved right after we split up, and I have to pay child support I can't afford.

After trying to modify the order for six years I finally stopped trying. I now sit on the board of Iowa Fathers and Coordinate the Iowa Children of Separation.
