You know things have gone terribly wrong in our society when an ex wife can choose to sit at home for the summer and collect welfare instead of going out and finding a job (By the way, she had a live in boyfriend when she filed the paperwork).

The real crime is that since she is sitting at home collecting hundreds of dollars from the state the state decided I should pay her $1,200 per month to pay for sun screen and pool chemicals!

But that's not the bad news, the bad news is she did the same thing last summer and since we couldn't get a fast court date set with the Friend of the Court, they piled up arrears on me that were over $6,000. At least they were nice enough to seize my bank accounts (Obviously with no warning) to collect their money.

I've read some articles on line that hit the nail on the head, WE need to reform the system. I personally believe when a custodial parent either has a live in boyfriend or gets remarried the income of the step parent needs to be considered when computing the amount for the non-custodial parent.

You're not alone, we all have horror stories.
