The Unity Wall strives for father's rights after divorce. It was developed to protest and reform the child support enforcement laws of this country. American family law is biased against the fathers of this country, and routinely violates their inherent rights. Only by joining together and sharing a common voice can we assert our rights and rebuild the role of fathers.

This wall is a monument to the suffering caused by the current child support laws of this country.

It contains the names of men and women, fathers and mothers, second wives and husbands, aunts and uncles, sisters and brothers, grandparents and friends who have joined together in testimony against the unfair and unjust system that amplifies the damage done to children and families by divorce.

Each name is a link to a personal story. Take some time, and read for yourself of the damage done by a child support industry that seeks to marginalize non-custodial parents, and profiteers from their suffering.

The people being hurt by these laws will no longer remain invisible and they will no longer remain silent. Everyone's story matters.

Already there are advocates of child support reform, scientists sorting out the details, and lobbyists in Washington trying to pass legislation. However the grim truth is that none of this will do any good until the many people affected by these unfair laws unite to change them.

I initially developed this wall over two years ago. Unfortunately, the web hosting company I was working with went out of business and the Wall came down. While it was up, however, I came to realize what an important service this web site was rendering. Just read through some of the posts and you will see how much pain has been caused in the name of child support enforcement.

I am so pleased and proud to have rebuilt the Unity Wall. During the long, difficult period in my own life when my son was taken from me I came to the conclusion that I have a moral obligation to take a stand for father's rights and try to change the laws surrounding divorce and family law in this country.

The critical epiphany came to me when I discovered that the formulas developed to calculate child support were intentionally designed to misconstrue the true cost of raising children in divorced families. The formulas developed by Policy Studies Inc., the largest child support collection agency in the world, became the foundation of the Income Shares model that most states use for child support enforcement.

I'll never forget the day that I realized that, in addition to the pain I was feeling from my divorce and having my son torn from me, that Robert Williams of Policy Studies Inc. had also schemed to profit from my misery. In fact, an entire obscene industry has grown up around divorce and has a vested interest in destroying families. My grief turned to anger that day, and I have been mad ever since. And despite setbacks, I will continue to do what I can to bring changes to family law, and to make a difference.

You should too. Come to the Unity Wall and together we can start to fight back.
